OCC! Online School

Since 2022, OCC! has developed an online interdisciplinary school to explore climate change through the lens of environmental justice, climate justice, environmental humanities, environmental history, media studies, political ecology, literature and storytelling. The school is directed to early careers researchers (Ph.D. students and postdocs), master students, activists, journalists, and everyone who is interested in joining it. All the participants will contribute to the Atlas of the Other Worlds with their original research and creative works.

The school fosters a radical and progressive pedagogy, nurturing anti-racist, antipatriarchal, antcolonial, and antispecist practices.

How to be involved in the OCC! school:

You can apply to be a student (we publish the call on our website)

You can propose to teach a class or host a lab for the school (do this anytime by contacting armiero@icrea.cat)

You can propose to organize a local OCC! school. From 2025, we would like to have local OCC!, distributed across the globe in addition to the global school. We think that the local OCC! school will respond to three issues we have experimented with so far:

If you wish to host an OCC! school please contact us at armiero@icrea.cat
